You aint Sh*t
Sadly, once more a cherished piece of kitsch in LA bights the dust. My lovely "Burgers 'n Shit has closed its doors and painted over the 'n Shit part of the sign. Yeah, Main street downtown is slowly gentrifying and the crackheads and whores who used B'nS as their goto spot for....shit have been slowly swept from its streets. Art galleries, clothing shops, and one solid vietnamese restaurant (Blossom) have replaced the stench of homelessness. Personally, I would have kept the joint named the same, but just upgraded the shit. But it doesn't seem as though downtown business owners share my sense of irony.

It was never actually called Burgers 'n' Shit. A movie production company painted that on there for a shot, and never cleaned up after themselves. Also that corner has been gentrified for many years now. =]
thanks for the background on the sign.
as for the area, i shared a studio across the street and a workmate lives on the block. although both Pete's and the coffee shop have been there for years, its only been over the last year in my opinion that the whole area really started to be cleaned up. I remember not long ago looking out the window from the studio and seeing someone shoot up in the parking lot next to Burger's and Sh*t (or Tony's or whatever it was actually called).
but we can agree to disagree.
